Antwerp is to Flanders what Amsterdam is to the Netherlands: the widest supply and the largest number of requests. Agencies working in both countries often use the same men here as in the southern Netherlands.
Rates in Flanders sit close to Dutch levels. The difference tends to be travel costs rather than the hourly amount, because distances inside Flanders are short and a trip to the Netherlands is not.
Dutch is the working language, though French and English appear in requests regularly. Profiles therefore almost always state which languages someone actually speaks and at what level.
The city has plenty of hotels in the centre and around Centraal Station. Home appointments happen, but a large share of requests specify a hotel.
Practical points
- Travel costs come on top of the rate and should be stated before the booking is confirmed.
- A rate indication covers the first two hours; each additional hour adds around one hundred and fifty euro.
- From five hours agencies apply a discount percentage.
- For a home visit an agency will ask for a real address and phone number.
